"A Gibson 335 without the gloss and pickup covers for $1000 less. I personally prefer the faded series to the gloss. More elemental. More visceral. It feels like wood. The Beatles removed the finish on a few of their guitars. They said it let the sound out. I wouldn't argue. They've stopped making these in left or right. They (Gibson) stopped all left-hand guitar production on 1/1/2007. They don't know when they will resume. But they won't make 333's again in any case." — Jerry Welch | |
